Deniz Taşar (with Şentürk Öztaş & Ekin Cengizkan), Sound: Asleep, 2017, Music performance
Şentürk Öztaş with his six-string bass and Ekin Cengizkan with his drums and electronics accompany Deniz Taşar’s vocals. The trio who work both on their own electronic/jazz projects and Deniz’s album, present a musical performance special to BAHAR.
Deniz, who often works with themes of ‘sleep’ and ‘dream’, will tell experimental and melodic stories that deal with tides between sleep and awakeness through her 30-minute long impromptu performance. She will play a surreal lullaby by colliding electronic and acoustic rhythm constructions bound to the space and the moment.
