Sheets — The Geological Map of Turkey

The Geological Map of Turkey at a scale of 1:800.000 in eight sheets was published by the Mineral Research and Exploration Directorate (MTA) in the 1940s.

In an effort to better understand the impulse to collect, the notion of collecting, and his own personal journey as a collector, Kerim Bayer studies the science of geology, printing techniques available at the time, and the scientists who prepared the map. The project is a documentation of this ongoing effort.
